Our commitment
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA and to make the site work with keyboards, screen readers, zoom, forced colours, reduced motion and JavaScript disabled.
What we have built in
- A skip link, semantic landmarks and consistent heading order.
- Visible keyboard focus and controls with generous targets.
- Text that reflows on narrow screens and tables that can scroll when necessary.
- Normal document-flow content; diagrams never replace the written explanation.
- No autoplay, sound, scroll hijacking or infinite animation.
- Motion removed when reduced motion is requested, with static diagrams always available.
- A complete MP letter template and ordinary links when JavaScript is unavailable.
Known limitations
The exact wording and structure of external source sites and WriteToThem are outside this project's control. Some legal material is necessarily complex; the glossary and issue-page structure are intended to reduce that burden.
Testing and feedback
Automated checks cover semantic structure, common accessibility defects, keyboard paths, reduced motion, no-JavaScript rendering and responsive layouts. Automated tests cannot replace testing with disabled people. A public feedback route will be added when the project can operate one without compromising its no-collection approach.
